The best meatloaf you’ll ever eat

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Steps:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef, 1/4 cup ketchup, Parmesan cheese, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme to the bowl.
  4. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spread 1/4 cup ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
