Warm Pancakes for sunday breakfast
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Butter or oil for cooking
Steps:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined (the batter will be lumpy).
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease lightly with butter or oil.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Serve warm with syrup, butter, or toppings of your choice.
