Rinse the quinoa under cold water. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add quinoa, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Let it cool.
In a large bowl, combine cooked quinoa, black beans, cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper, red onion, avocado, and cilantro.
In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Pour the dressing over the quinoa mixture and toss to combine.
